Hii..... On September 3rd 2014, it is a 3rd class in Advanced English Engineering, and we meet Mr. Aji again :D. In the 2nd class, Mr. Aji ask to his student to write a synopsis of The Lion King. Feby and Endah who are in the same group do their task together. Feby writes the synopsis start from the beginning until the middle, and Endah writes the synopsis start from the middle until the end of the movie. After they finish the story, they merge their story and the synopsis is done.
This is the synopsis that have been made by Feby.
Once upon the time, the lion that is brave and wise live in the Pride Lands of Africa. His name is Mufasa. Mufasa is a king and has a queen, Her name is Sarabi. They have a son. The name is Simba. Simba has been crowned as the next king when he was young by Rafiki, but Mufasa’s younger brother, Scar envy with Simba’s position. He wants to be a king, so He didn’t attend at the presentation of Simba. Mufasa visits Scar to ask it why, then Scar just say that it slipped his mind.
Simba grows well. On a sunny morning, Mufasa and Simba walk together. Mufasa tells Simba how to be a good king. They meet a hornbill, Zazu. Zazu said that hyenas are in the pride lands. Then Mufasa asks Zazu to go home with Simba. At home, Simba meets Scar and tells that he will be a king. Scar’s so envy, so he tells Simba that there is elepant graveyard that forbidden to visit.
After then, Simba goes to meet Nala his best friend , Nala’s mother and his mother. Simba asks Nala to go there. And then, they ask their mother to go, and they allow them to go with Zazu. But Simba and Nala fell down to elephant graveyard and meet Hyenas. They chase Simba and Nala, but Mufasa come to save them. After He makes hyenas go, he ask Simba and Nala to go home. Mufasa gets to teach his son. He said that he is very disappointed with Simba because he has disobeyed him and put Nala in danger, and Simba said that he wants to be brave like his father.
At that night, Scar visits hyenas. He ask them to kill Mufasa. The next day, Scar makes Simba as bait to kill Mufasa. He asks Simba to wait Mufasa because he has a surprise. Then Scar leaves Simba and go to give a signal to Hyenas. After then, there are many wildebeest run away to Simba, and Simba is surprised and he runs soon. Mufasa who knows the incident go to save Simba.
After he saves Simba, he falls down, then he tries to climb the gorge. He sees Scar and ask to help him. But Scar throws him back into the stampede. Simba that knows his father fall down, he tries to find Mufasa. After Simba finds mufasa, he screams to get some help, but no body hear. A few moment later Scar comes to Simba and Mufasa. He said to Simba that he must go because of him, Mufasa dead. Then Simba follows Scar to leave, then he runaway and meet hyenas. Hyenas chase simba but simba escapes.
Scar announces to other lions that Mufasa and Simba were killed, so he assumes that he is a new king and Hyenas allow live together with lion. After runaway, Simba collapses because he is tired in a desert then Timon and Pumbaa find him. They save Simba. After Simba wakes up, they give Simba a new lesson. It is ‘Hakuna Matata’, he said that it is a wonderfull phrase, they explain that it means NO WORRIES.
When Simba has grown into an adult, he meets Nala. Nala wants to catch Timon and Pumbaa. She tells him that Scar has turned the Pride Lands into a barren wasteland. She asks Simba to return and take his place as king but Simba refuses. Simba shows Nala around his home and the two begin to fall in love. Rafiki arrives and persuades Simba to return to the Pride Lands.
Simba finally arrives in the Pride Lands that is dark and barren. He sees the Pride Land with Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa. When he arrived, he see the kingdom of being destroyed because of Scar,then he goes to find Scar. Finally he finds Scar with his mother. He sees his mother has been attacked by Scar. He is angry and come to his mother. His mother is so surprised because her son still alive. Simba and the other lions is fighting against Scar and Hyena. Then, Scar said that he causes Mufasa killed. Simba is very angry and he fights with Scar. Scar is lose and fall down. Scar is attacked by Hyenas and die. Finally Simba became a new king and happy with his wife, Nala
At that meeting, Mr Aji asks his student to come forward in front of the class. They must tell the movie with their group. the rule is there are 2 student in front of the class, one of them must tell the story in English, and another student must translate in Indonesian. After that, the student that have told in Indonesian, must tell the next story in English, and another student must translate it. It will do until the story is ended.
Mr Aji gives some clue, and the story has been begun. One by one groups have been come forward. And then he said that the student who wear a brown shoes must come forward, whoooaaa and it is Feby and Endah. They wear a brown shoes. Endah as the 1st reader, read this story “The next day, Scar makes Simba as bait to kill Mufasa “, and the Feby translates it. After that Feby read the next story “The next day, Scar makes Simba as bait to kill Mufasa. He asks Simba to wait Mufasa because he has a surprise and then Scar leaves Simba and go to give a signal to Hyenas”, and Endah translates it.
All of student have been come forward, but the story doesn’t end.Mr. Aji asks to his student to continue the story start from the student that sit in the 1st bench, and that will be continued by the student that sit in the back , and back to front again and so on. Feby comes forward again with endah . the 1st reader is Feby. She reads “Finally he finds Scar with his mother. He sees his mother has been attacked by Scar” and endah translates it, then endah reads “He is angry and come to his mother” and feby translates it. It is continued until the story end.
Mr. Aji said that our class have read and translated well. Then, he gives a task again to the student. He asks to make a summary from movie, it is Malam Jumat Kliwon, but it is for two weeks later. The summary must make in detail summary and short summary. And it must make in Indonesian and English. He ask that the summary of The Lion King must upload in a blog. Ok, that’s all a story in the 2nd meeting in Advanced English Engineering, we are sorry for all mistake, thanks for reading :D bye bye
